Picnic with kids and radio. First time I had a real opportunity to try FT817 with CB amplifier (modified slightly by SP3SWJ). I had 3 or 4 nice QSO (including one with Poland - SP8IMA) This setup (ft817+PA) seems to be very effective as it is still much lighter than FT847 and the power is sufficint even for present bad propagation conditions. All equipement was powered from 18Ah battery and antenna was buddipole on 5m mast.
